Misþyrming is a black metal band from Reykjavík, Iceland, formed in June 2013. The band is signed to the French label Norma Evangelium Diaboli . On February 7, 2015, the band released their debut studio album, Söngvar elds og óreiðu , which received critical acclaim for its dark atmosphere and complex musical structures. Misþyrming made a significant contribution to the development of modern black metal, cementing Iceland's reputation as a center of the genre.
