Lumsk is a Norwegian folk metal band formed in 1999. Their debut album, Asmund Fregdegjaevar was released on Tabu Records . Prior to the release of their second album, Troll , the band added vocalist Stine Mari Langstrand and guitarist Ketil Saether , replacing Vibeke Arntzen and Bjørnar Selsbak . In 2005, the band received a grant from the by:Larm festival of over $50,000, which allowed them to finance their third album Det Vilde Kor , and film music videos. The recording featured drummer Vidar Berg and guest vocalists Tone Kummervold and Lars Eggen . Lumsk made a significant contribution to the development of folk metal, combining traditional motifs with a modern sound.
