Клавдия Шульженко (1906–1984) was a prominent Soviet pop singer and actress, originally from the USSR. She performed songs in the Russian pop genre and was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR. Шульженко performed actively during the Great Patriotic War, raising the morale of soldiers with her concerts. Among her most famous songs is "Синий платочек" which became a symbol of the war. Her work left a significant mark on the history of Soviet music, and her contribution to the development of Russian pop music remains unrivaled.
