
Gerald Moore (1899–1987) was a British-born pianist and accompanist. He became known as one of the leading accompanists of his time, working with such distinguished vocalists as Elisabeth Schwarzkopf , Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau , and Victoria de los Ángeles . His career spanned decades, leaving a significant mark on the world of classical music. Gerald Moore also wrote several books, including his autobiography, Am I Too Loud?, which reveals his views on the art of accompaniment. His contribution to the development and popularization of the art of accompaniment remains unrivaled.
