Chris Cornell (real name Кристофер Джон Бойл , later Кристофер Джон Корнелл ) is an American rock musician, born in 1964 in the United States. He was the frontman of the band Soundgarden and also the vocalist Audioslave . In the early 1990s, he led the project Temple of the Dog , dedicated to the memory of a friend. He began his career as a drummer but later became known as a guitarist and vocalist. Among his best-known songs are "Black Hole Sun" and "Like a Stone" Chris Cornell made a significant contribution to the development of alternative rock and grunge.
