Mother Love Bone was an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1988. Known for their fusion of glam rock and alternative rock, the group was fronted by charismatic vocalist Andrew Wood. Signed to PolyGram, they released the EP "Shine" in 1989, followed by their only studio album, "Apple", in 1990. Tragically, Andrew Wood passed away shortly before the album's release, cutting the band's promising career short. Despite their brief existence, Mother Love Bone is credited with laying the groundwork for the Seattle grunge movement, influencing bands like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Their legacy endures as a pivotal chapter in rock history.
