He is best known as the vocalist and guitarist of the band Deftones , as well as a member of the projects Team Sleep , Crosses , Palms , and Saudade . His performance style is distinguished by vibrant screams and the ability to shift from a hypnotic croon to a dramatic tenor. Chino Moreno has made significant contributions to the development of alternative rock, combining elements of various genres and experimenting with musical textures.
