Machine Gun Kelly, born Richard Colson Baker on April 22, 1990, in the United States, is an American rapper, rock musician, singer, and actor. He adopted his stage name in homage to the infamous gangster George "Machine Gun" Kelly. Rising to fame with mixtapes like "Stamp Of Approval" and "Lace Up", he signed with Young and Reckless Clothing in 2011. That same year, he was named MTV's Hottest Breakthrough MC. By 2012, he graced the cover of XXL magazine and won an MTVu Breaking Woodie award. With six studio albums as of 2022, he has significantly influenced both rap and alternative music genres.
