
Atahualpa Yupanqui (real name Hector Roberto Chavero) was an Argentine singer-songwriter, singer, guitarist, and writer born in 1908. He is considered a key figure in Latin American music, particularly in the folk genre. His work included collecting and popularizing folk songs, as well as creating his own compositions, such as "El arriero" and "Luna tucumana" Yupanqui collaborated with various labels and performed internationally, including in Europe. His contribution to the preservation and development of Argentine folklore made him an icon of the genre.
