
Антон Григорьевич Рубинштейн (1829–1894) was a prominent Russian composer, pianist, and conductor, originally from Vikhvostovo, Russian Empire. One of the founders of Russian classical music, he made a significant contribution to the development of music education, founding Санкт-Петербургскую консерваторию in 1862. His work includes operas, symphonies, chamber works, and piano concertos, among which the famous Фортепианный концерт №4 stands out. Рубинштейн was also renowned for his virtuoso concertos, which brought him worldwide fame.
