Alphaville is a German synthpop band formed in 1982 in Germany by Мариан Гольд , Бернхард Ллойд and Франк Мертенс . Initially called Forever Young , the band later changed its name to Alphaville . The band achieved worldwide fame thanks to three hits: "Big In Japan" ," "Forever Young" and "Sounds Like A Melody" released in 1984. These tracks became the band's signature tracks and remain popular to this day. Alphaville made a significant contribution to the development of synthpop, becoming one of the most recognizable bands in the genre.
