Агата Кристи is a Soviet and Russian rock band founded in 1985 in Sverdlovsk. The band's official beginning is considered to be a concert on February 20, 1988. The band was formed by Vadim Samoilov, Alexander Kozlov, and Pyotr May, later joined by Vadim's younger brother, Gleb Samoilov. The band became one of the most popular in Russia in the 1990s, releasing hits such as "Как на войне" and "Опиум для никого" The Samoilov brothers remained the band's leaders and songwriters. Агата Кристи made a significant contribution to the development of Russian rock.
