Des milliers de fleurs parfumes s’amoncellent sur le march

Les brahmanes ont bni le seuil des maisons de familles en deuil

Que les pcheurs ont rebties et puis les arbres ont refleuri

S’amusent faire des ricochets, ils commencent parler franais

Petits neveux du bout du monde

Vos peaux brunes sur nos peaux blondes

Se sont tatoues tout jamais au-del des chagrins secrets

Ici, le pire et le meilleur se mlangent dans les couleurs

Sous la soie des saris draps de douleur et de dignit

Et si l’espoir de libert se heurte aux castes o ils sont ns Devant les portes verrouilles d’intouchables hrdits
