Kraftvoll tragen die Rüden unseren Drachen zurück ans Ufer

Der Kiel berührt den Sand von unserem Heimatland

Fernweh trieb uns hinaus

Hinaus aufs weite Meer

Von Vinland bis ins Reich der Rus

Der Nordstern zeigte uns den Weg

Das Segel vom Wind gefüllt

Kein Ziel war uns zu weit

Ob die Sonne scheint oder Regen fällt

Kein Sturm ist uns zu wild und kein Nebel

Zu dicht

Nichts hält den Drachen auf

Auf dem Weg nach Haus

Zieht die Ruder ein

Endlich sind wir daheim

Viel zu lange waren wir weg

Von dem geliebten Fleck

Der sich Heimat nennt
