Так холодны и так горды

Россыпи звезд на небе ночном

Прибрежный камыш и гладь воды

Казалось, округа вся спит мирным сном

Но тихий всплеск нарушил покой

И звезды тогда устремили свой взор

На чудака, что рукой выводил

На теле реки странный...

Рукой взмахни, и вот все они

Перед тобою

Судеб людских и жизни твоей

Все тайны раскроют

Что делает здесь он каждую ночь?

Что хочет сказать, что желает найти?

И почему исчезает он прочь

Лишь только рассвет забрезжит вдали?

Пытается он дотянуться до звезд,

Ведь их отраженье так близко к нему.

А все вокруг смеются над ним,

Лишь он не может понять...

Рукой взмахни, и вот все они

Перед тобою

Судеб людских и жизни твоей

Все тайны раскроют

Ветер мятежно в ночи завывал,

Ему вторили скалы.

Реку собою туман укрывал,

Вода тихо плескалась.

Ночи покой нарушал тот рыбак

Он забрасывал невод

Звезды вновь он пытался поймать,

Но ловил руками лишь небо.

Невод достал и бросил в сердцах

Перед собою

И застыл с изумленьем в глазах -

Был он с рыбкою золотою...

So cold and so proud

Scatters of stars in the night sky

Coastal reeds and expanse of water

It seemed that the whole district was sleeping peacefully

But a quiet splash broke the peace

And the stars then fixed their gaze

On the eccentric that led out with his hand

On the body of the river is strange ...

Wave your hand and that's all

in front of you

The fate of people and your life

All secrets will be revealed

What does he do here every night?

What does he want to say, what does he want to find?

And why does he disappear away

As soon as the dawn breaks in the distance?

He tries to reach the stars

After all, their reflection is so close to him.

And everyone around is laughing at him,

Only he can't understand...

Wave your hand and that's all

in front of you

The fate of people and your life

All secrets will be revealed

The wind howled rebelliously in the night,

Rocks echoed him.

The river was covered with fog,

The water splashed softly.

The rest of the night was broken by that fisherman

He cast a net

He tried to catch the stars again,

But he caught only the sky with his hands.

The seine took out and threw in the hearts

in front of me

And froze with amazement in his eyes -

He was with a golden fish ...
