Recuerdo cuando te hablaba de las nogueras

Golpeando con los nudillos en la encimera

Con mi grito quejumbroso de arroyo turbio

Traje mal bajío, me llevé infortunio

Allá donde el vino mana en la sementera

Y ondean las comadronas sábanas secas

Donde se abate sin prisa a las nocheviejas

Con los tiros mudos de penas añejas

Aventando silencio le quito el precio a mi soledad

La desato y tirito, que no está escrito, pero estará

En todos los soportales, como quien mancha el ajuar

Que he querido a dentelladas y ya no hay nada que desatar

Y ahora que una majada son mis adentros

Y el cuenco medio vacío me da sustento

Sostengo sobre los hombros otro derrumbe

No será su estruendo el que me deslumbre

Los sinsabores son las flores que perdí

Mientras la orquesta no dejaba de tocar

Y yo tiraba por la borda el pedigrí
