Ich schaue auf den Spiegel an der Wand

Dort blickt eine Gestalt mich fragend an

Mir so vertraut und doch unendlich fremd

Bin ich es der mich selbst nicht mehr erkennt

Denn diese Augen sind wie Lügen

Sie hören nicht auf mich anzusehen

Ich schlag sie heut in tausend Scherben

Weil sie mir meine Seele stehlen

Ich schaue weg weil ich es nicht versteh

Vielleicht ist dort ein Mensch den ich nicht seh'

Vielleicht ist es ganz anders als es scheint

Und da ist gar nichts mehr

Als jeden Tag nur Spiegelbild zu sein

I look at the mirror on the wall

A figure looks at me questioningly

So familiar to me and yet infinitely alien

Is it me who no longer recognizes myself

'Cause these eyes are like lies

You don't stop looking at me

I'll smash them into a thousand pieces today

Because they steal my soul

I look away because I don't understand

Maybe there's a person I don't see

Maybe it's very different than it seems

And there's nothing left

Than just being a reflection every day
