Das erste Gebot ist die Liebe - Kastelruther Spatzen

1. Im gelobten Land, wo die Zeit begann

und die Menschen noch fragend zum Himmel sah´n, liegt Sinai!

Auf dem heiligen Berg sass der Herr und sprach:

«Das Gesetz, das ich schrieb ist für euch gemacht, Vergesst das nie!»

Du sollst den nächsten lieben wie dich selbst,

dann hast du deinen besten Weg gewählt.

Und der Nächste ist der Mensch gleich neben dir.

Ref.: Denn das erste Gebot ist die Liebe, sie ist das Feuer der Welt.

Lass es nie in dir verglüh´n, sonst ist dein Leben ohne Sinn.

Hab ein Herz für die Tränen des ander´n, gib ihm die Hoffnung zurück.

Was wär diese Welt ohne Liebe, grad´ heut in uns´rer Zeit.

Und das erste Gebot ist die Liebe für alle Ewigkeit.

2. Einmal verzeih´n und noch mehr versteh´n,

mit dem ander´n auch mal durch den Schatten geh´n, das kannst auch du.

Frage niemals nach Schuld, das gilt immer noch,

ist er schwächer als du, ja dann trag ihn dochd er Sonne zu.

Zeig ihm den Silberstreif am Horizont,

für den sich auch sein Leben wieder lohnt.

Denn dein Nächster ist der Mensch, der dich heut´ braucht.
