ber diesen Pltzen ruht ein Zauber

Und schwarze Vgel ziehen ihre Kreise.

Doch nur das Fliegen lernen wollten wir,

Als jemand brach die Flgel uns entzwei.

Als wir nach Jahren wiederkehrten,

Und diese Orte pltzlich still und leer,

In unseren Kpfen sich Gewiheit formte,

Da wir das Leben hier ja nur getrumt!

Und alt und mde sitzen wir

In Rumen, die das Licht nicht kennen.

Deine Worte sind nicht mehr bei mir —

Wer wei, ob sie es jemals waren?

Und alt und mde weine ich

In Trumen, die kein morgen kennen.

Doch irgendwann kommt der Moment,

Da Licht durch unsґre Schatten fliet!

Ich wei noch, wie uns Flgel wuchsen

A magic lingers over these places

And black birds circle in circles.

As someone broke the wings us in two.
