Zuletzt — im Taumel und im Rausch ertränkt

Erblicke ich doch nur der Qualen Spiegelbild.

Und ich sag`:

Und du sagst:

«Ferne Städte entstehen am Horizont Deiner Augen

Kannst Du sie seh`n

Wie sie blüh`n —

Und vergeh`n
