Astronaut, du schaust herunter auf die Erde

Und du siehst einen kleinen blauen Stern

Keine Länder, keine Grenzen, keine Fahnen

Wenn´s dort oben einen Gott gibt, muss er so die Erde seh´n

Astronaut, du siehst dort keins unsrer Probleme

Selbst ein Krieg sieht für dich ganz harmlos aus

Wünschst du dir nicht oft, nie mehr, nie mehr zurück zu kommen

Doch du bist so wie wir alle, auf diesem blauen Stern zu haus`

Wie gern würd´ ich, mal so wie du, die Erde seh´n

Ich weiß von dort, ist diese Welt, bestimmt nur schön

Wie gern würd´ich, nur einen Tag, bei dir dort oben sein

Ich fühl mich oft so groß, und bin in Wirklichkeit… so klein

Astronaut, wär´ es nicht gut für alle Menschen

Diesen Stern, aus solcher Ferne mal zu seh´n

Vielleicht würden wir dann, endlich alle mal begreifen

Wie verkehrt wir vieles machen, vielleicht würden wir versteh´n

Wie gern würd´ ich, mal so wie du, die Erde seh´n

Ich weiß von dort, ist diese Welt, bestimmt nur schön

Wie gern würd´ich, nur einen Tag, bei dir dort oben sein

If there's a god up there, he must see the earth like this

How I would like to see the earth like you do

I know from there, this world is definitely only beautiful

How I would like to be up there with you, just for one day

I often feel so big, and in reality I am... so small

Astronaut, wouldn't it be good for everyone

To see this star from such a distance

Maybe then we would finally all understand

How wrong we do many things, maybe we would understand

How I would like to see the earth like you do

I know from there, this world is definitely only beautiful

How I would like to be up there with you, just for one day
