Das stille Tal - Dunkelschön

Ich sah einen Stern dort am Rande der Nacht

Weiß war sein Sinnen, der Schwärze bedacht

Saß ich alleine, der Sehnsucht gewahr

Die Licht in das Dunkel gebar

Ich hörte die Ferne, den endlosen Klang

Der tausendfach flüsternd am Wegrand dort sang

So ließ ich mich fallen in die samthelle Nacht

Die Klarheit und Stille gebracht

Wohin der Wind die Stille trägt

Wohin die Tage fliehen

Wohin der Nächte Träume gehen

Wohin die Wolken ziehen

Wohin allein die Stunden finden

Die wir glücklich waren

Dorthin wo das stille Tal beginnt

Folg ich dem Wind

Ich folge der Fährte in die Wälder zurück

Den Spuren der Träume, die mich einst entzückt

Dem Rauschen der Blätter, die flüstern im Wind

Und stille Gefährten mir sind

I saw a star there at the edge of the night

White was his thinking, blackness pondering

I sat alone, aware of the longing

Who gave birth to light in darkness

I heard the distance, the endless sound

Who sang there, whispering a thousand times by the wayside

So I let myself fall into the velvety night

The clarity and stillness brought

Where the wind carries the silence

Where the days flee

Where the night's dreams go

Where the clouds go

Where alone the hours find their way

that we were happy

To where the quiet valley begins

I follow the wind

I follow the trail back into the woods

The traces of the dreams that once delighted me

The rustling of the leaves whispering in the wind

And silent companions are mine
