War einst ein Karmeliter, der Pater Gabriel

Versprach der Anna Dutzinger 'ne nagelneue Seel'

Die Anna war ein Mädel, noch jung und wunderschön

Und tat zum ersten Male ins Kloster beichten gehn

«Ei, Anna liebste Anna, komm doch zu mir herein

Hier in dem dunklen Kammerln kannst beichten ganz allein»

Er setzt sich in den Beichtstuhl, und nahm sie auf den Schoß

Da dacht' die Anna Dutzinger: «Das Beichten geht famos»

Und er erzählt der Anna vom Berge Sinai

Und greift ihr an die Waderln, hinauf bis an die Knie

Nicht nur auf Haupt und Mieder ruht die geweihte Hand

Er senkt sie langsam nieder bis ins gelobte Land

Da schwanden ihr die Sinne, wie leblos sank sie hin

Da hat’s 'nen kleinen Knacks gegeben, die neue Seel' war drin

Darum ihr jungen Mädels, sucht ihr 'ne neue Seel'

So wendet euch vertrauensvoll an Pater Gabriel

Doch wißt ihr nicht sein Kloster, wo er zu finden ist

So helf ich euch auch gerne, mit mir beschied’ner List

And went to confession in the monastery for the first time

He sat in the confessional and took her on his lap

Then Anna Dutzinger thought: "Confessions are great"

And he tells Anna about Mount Sinai

And grabs her calves, up to her knees

The consecrated hand does not only rest on the head and bodice

He slowly lowers them down to the promised land

Then her senses vanished, she sank down lifeless

There was a little crack, the new soul was inside

So you young girls, you are looking for a new soul

So turn to Father Gabriel with confidence
