Kein schlechter Gedanke soll mich heut' ereilen

Möchte in Frieden an diesen Orte weilen

Will an der Schönheit Schöpfung mich ergötzen

Und mir als Maß die Freiheit setzen

Frohsinn soll mich heut begleiten

Will nicht an Schmerz und Kummer leiden

Der Augenblick ist heilig — freilich

Ich hab’s nicht eilig.
