Si je pouvais décrire le paysage

Oùj'ai passémon enfance

La ville oùje suis née

Le ton et les couleurs seraient gais

Mais je suis partie àcet âge

Oùles yeux n’ont pas de mémoire

Pour Paris, France

De Paris àVal d’Or, devenue femme

On m’interroge sur ma vie et mes origines

Il faut toujours que l’on détermine

Àqui le crédit ou le blâme

Quel est son pays légitime, et bien voici

Pour l’instant mon pays

C’est la route qui me conduit là

Oùl'amour est seule loi

Qu’il existe ou qu’il n’existe pas

Je ne m’arrêterai jamais de chercher

Ce pays tant que je vivrai

Je parle plusieurs langues, n’en possède aucune

Je m’explique sans lexique

N’insiste jamais trop

Et voilàque je repars aussitôt

Vers ma chambre d’hôtel de fortune

Dans l’espoir de trouver un jour ce lieu magnifique
