
Vince Clarke, born Винсент Джон Мартин on July 3, 1960, in the United Kingdom, is a British synth-pop musician and songwriter. He is best known as a founding member of iconic bands such as Depeche Mode, Yazoo, The Assembly, and Erasure. Clarke played a pivotal role in shaping the early sound of Depeche Mode, writing eight of the eleven tracks on their debut album, "Speak & Spell", before leaving the group in 1982. His later projects, particularly Erasure, achieved significant commercial success with hits like "A Little Respect" and "Sometimes". Clarke's innovative use of synthesizers has left a lasting impact on the synth-pop genre.
