Виктор Берковский was a Soviet and Russian bard, composer, and teacher, born on July 13, 1932, in the USSR. He was known as a prominent exponent of the bard song genre, creating music to the poems of renowned poets. Берковский collaborated with such composers as Юлий Ким and Сергей Никитин , and his songs became popular among bard music lovers. Among his famous works are "Grenada" and "When We Were at War." In addition to his musical career, he held a PhD in engineering and a professorship. Берковский left a significant mark on the development of bard song, combining music and poetry in a unique manner.
