Sharon den Adel is a Dutch vocalist, born in 1974. She is best known as the frontwoman of the symphonic metal band Within Temptation and for her solo project, My Indigo . With Within Temptation she released hits such as "Ice Queen" and "Stand My Ground" which brought the band international recognition. Her solo project, My Indigo explores lighter genres such as pop and dance music. Sharon den Adel has made a significant contribution to the development of symphonic metal, combining powerful vocals with orchestral arrangements.
