Agua de Annique is the solo project of Anneke van Giersbergen, former vocalist of the Dutch rock band The Gathering . The band was formed in the summer of 2007 in the Netherlands after van Giersbergen's departure from The Gathering . The project's first album included poetry and music written by the vocalist long before its founding. These compositions were originally proposed for recording with The Gathering but never included on their releases. Agua de Annique lasted until 2011, leaving a mark on the foreign rock genre thanks to Anneke van Giersbergen's unique style and creative approach.
