
Ronnie Drew (1934–2008) was an Irish singer, folk musician, and actor, best known as a founding member of The Dubliners . His career spanned over fifty years, and he was the voice behind such hits as "Seven Drunken Nights" and "The Irish Rover" which reached the top 10 of the UK charts and were performed on Top of the Pops . Ronnie Drew made a significant contribution to the popularization of Celtic music and Irish folk on the international stage.
