
Рихард Вагнер (1813–1883) was a German composer, conductor, and art theorist born in Leipzig. He is a key figure in the history of classical music, particularly known for his operas and musical dramas. Among his most famous works are the four-opera cycle "Кольцо Нибелунга" , as well as the operas "Тристан и Изольда" and "Лоэнгрин" . Вагнер developed the concept of "musical drama," in which music, text, and stage design are combined into a unified whole. His work had a profound influence on the development of opera and classical music in general.
