Пелагея is a Russian singer born on July 14, 1986. She is the founder and lead singer of the band «Пелагея» which performs Russian folk songs, romances, and ethnic compositions. Пелагея has been awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Ingushetia. Her work includes both traditional folk songs and original compositions. Among her most famous songs are "Oy, To Ne Vecher" (Oh, It's Not Evening) and "Lyubo, Bratcy, Lyubo" (I Love It, Brothers). Пелагея has made a significant contribution to the popularization of folk rock and Russian folk music.
