
Paul Heaton is an English singer and songwriter born in 1962. Originally from the UK, he gained fame as the frontman of The Housemartins, known for hits like "Happy Hour" and their UK number one single "Caravan of Love" in 1986. After the group disbanded in 1988, he formed The Beautiful South, achieving commercial success with their debut album and singles, including the chart-topping "A Little Time". The band remained active throughout the 1990s before disbanding in 2007. Heaton later pursued a solo career, releasing three albums and collaborating with former bandmate Jacqui Abbott on the 2014 album "What Have We Become?". His work has left a lasting mark on pop and alternative music.
