Murphy Lee is an American rapper from St. Louis, Missouri, born in 1978. He is best known as a member of the hip-hop group St. Lunatics. Following the early 2000s success of his groupmate Nelly, Murphy Lee signed with Derrty Entertainment, an imprint of Universal Records. His debut studio album, "Murphy's Law", peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200. The album featured the hit single "Shake Your Tailfeather", which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and was included in the soundtrack for the 2003 film "Bad Boys II". Murphy Lee has contributed to the popularization of Midwest hip-hop.
