Mägo De Oz is a Spanish folk metal band founded in 1988 in Madrid. Formed by a drummer named Чус ди Фелляцио , the band became one of the genre's pioneers, fusing Celtic folk music with elements of power metal. Initially called Transilvania , the band later changed its name. Most of Mägo De Oz songs are sung in Spanish, and their lyrics range from humorous stories to satirical pieces on social and religious issues. The band made a significant contribution to the development of folk metal, popularizing the genre in Spanish-speaking countries.
