
Lee Ritenour (Lee Mack Ritenour) is an American jazz guitarist and composer, born in 1952. One of the most sought-after studio musicians of the 1970s and 1980s, he worked in the genres of jazz, funk, fusion, rock, and bebop. During his career, Lee Ritenour has released more than 40 solo and collaborative albums. From 1991 to 1997, he was a member of the jazz quartet Fourplay . In 1986, he received a Grammy Award for the album "Harlequin" recorded with Dave Grusin , and in 2011 he was awarded ECHO Award . His virtuoso guitar technique earned him the nickname "Captain Fingers."
