Korpiklaani is a Finnish folk metal band founded in 2003. Its predecessor was the restaurant folk rock duo Shamaani Duo , formed in 1993 by Jonne Järvelä and Maaren Aikio. The band later changed its name to Shaman and then transformed into Korpiklaani . The band is known for its energetic compositions, such as "Vodka" and "Happy Little Boozer" which have become hallmarks of the genre. Korpiklaani actively tours and releases albums, combining traditional Finnish motifs with a heavy sound. The band has made a significant contribution to the popularization of folk metal on the international scene.
