Johnny Thunders (real name John Anthony Ginnelly) is an American musician born in 1952 in the United States. He rose to fame as the vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter for the iconic rock bands New York Dolls and Heartbreakers . Johnny Thunders is considered one of the first punk rock guitarists, laying the foundations for the genre. Among his most famous songs is "You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory" His work has had a significant influence on the development of punk rock and alternative music, leaving a lasting mark on the genre's history.
