Walter Lure (1949–2020) was an American rock guitarist and singer, best known for his role in the iconic punk band The Heartbreakers . Formed in New York City, the band became a key figure in the 1970s punk scene. Walter Lure contributed significantly to the album "LAMF" considered a classic of the genre. After the band's disbandment, he continued his musical career, collaborating with other artists and releasing solo work. His work influenced the development of punk rock and alternative music.
