Johnny Hodges (full name: Джон Корнелиус Ходжес ) was an American alto saxophonist, born in 1907 in the United States. He was a master of swing and a vibrant melodist who played a key role in Дюка Эллингтона orchestra. His contributions to jazz music include his collaborations with this legendary group, where he became known for his expressive solos. Ходжес had a significant influence on many jazz musicians, and his saxophone style remains a benchmark for subsequent generations. He died in 1970, leaving behind a rich musical legacy.
