
Billy Strayhorn (also known as Билли Стрейхорн ) is an American jazz musician, born on November 29, 1915, in the United States. He worked as an arranger, pianist, and composer in Дюка Эллингтона orchestra from 1939. Among his best-known compositions are " Take the 'A' Train ," " Lush Life ," " Chelsea Bridge ," and " Satin Doll ." Strayhorn made a significant contribution to the development of jazz, combining complex harmonies and melodies that have become classics of the genre.
