
Francesco Paolo Tosti (1846–1916) was an Italian composer, singer, and teacher born in Italy. He rose to fame as a court musician to the English kings, underscoring his international recognition. Tosti specialized in composing romantic songs, many of which have become classics of world music. His works, such as "Ideale" and "Non t'amo più" are still performed today. In addition to composing, he taught voice and had a significant influence on the development of music education. Tosti made a significant contribution to the popularization of Italian vocal music beyond his homeland.
