El-P, born Джейми Мелин on March 2, 1975, is an American rapper and entrepreneur from the United States. Known for his contributions to alternative hip-hop, he first gained recognition as a member of Company Flow. Over the years, he became a driving force in the genre, co-founding and leading the influential label Definitive Jux. He has also been part of projects like The Weathermen and Cardboard City. In 2013, he teamed up with Killer Mike to form the critically acclaimed duo Run the Jewels, releasing four albums to date. El-P has left an indelible mark on hip-hop through his innovative production and lyrical prowess.
