
Darius Rucker is an American country and pop musician, born on May 13, 1966. Originally from the United States, he gained fame as the frontman of the band Hootie & the Blowfish. Transitioning to a solo career in country music, he became one of the few African Americans to achieve significant success in the genre. His hits include "Wagon Wheel", which earned widespread acclaim. A three-time Grammy winner, he is also one of only three Black artists inducted as a full member of the Grand Ole Opry.
