Cristina Scabbia (full name: Cristina Adriana Chiara Scabbia ) is the vocalist of the Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil , born in 1972 in Italy. She is known for her powerful vocals and contribution to the development of the genre. In addition to her musical career, Cristina Scabbia has collaborated with former Pantera member Vinnie Paul, publishing articles in the popular rock magazine Revolver . In 2018, she served as a mentor on the Italian version of The Voice . Her work and involvement with Lacuna Coil have had a significant influence on the development of gothic metal.
