Children Of Bodom was a Finnish English-language band from Espoo, founded in 1993. The band performed melodic death metal with elements of various metal genres. The founder, leader, and primary composer was guitarist and vocalist Алекси Лайхо . During the band's existence, they sold over 200,000 copies in Finland. Children Of Bodom released such acclaimed albums as "Follow the Reaper" and "Hate Crew Deathroll" The band disbanded in 2019, and Алекси Лайхо passed away in 2020. Children Of Bodom made a significant contribution to the development of melodic death metal, becoming one of the most renowned bands in the genre.
