He began his career in 2002 with independent releases. In 2005, he signed with Universal Records , where he released The Sound of Revenge , which featured the Grammy winning hit "Ridin'" In 2007, he released Ultimate Victory , known for its lack of profanity. Chamillionaire has had a significant influence on the development of Southern hip-hop.
