His work combined profound poetry with elements of Russian rock, making him a cult figure among fans of the genre. Башлачёв is known for his heartfelt songs, such as "Время колокольчиков" and "Посошок" which remain relevant today. His contribution to the development of Russian rock and art song is difficult to overstate. Башлачёв tragically passed away on February 17, 1988, but his work continues to inspire new generations.
