Академический Ансамбль песни и пляски Российской Армии имени А.В. Александрова is the largest artistic group in Russia, founded on October 12, 1928. The ensemble, also known as Краснознаменный ансамбль or The Red Army Choir , is the central cultural institution of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Its repertoire includes patriotic songs, folk melodies, and classical works. Over the course of its history, the ensemble has performed in more than 70 countries, including the United States, France, and Japan. Famous works include "Священная война" and "Калинка" Ансамбль Александрова has made a significant contribution to the popularization of Russian musical culture internationally.
