Dunkelheit - Wolfenmond

Am Anfang war die Dunkelheit

bis dass Götter kleine Lichter

am dunklen Firmament entfachten

und ihnen zur Herrschaft den fahlen Mond

erstrahlen ließen.

Doch einmal in jedem Zyklus ward er dazu verdammt,

sein Antlitz zu verhüllen,

um an jene Dunkelheit zu erinnern,

die da am Anfang herrschte.

Und dann ist sie gekommen,

die Nacht des Neumondes.

In the beginning there was darkness

until that gods little lights

kindled in the dark firmament

and the pale moon for their dominion

let shine.
